Dr. Lily Colpitts joined Birmingham Infectious Diseases & Infusion in 2020 after completing her fellowship at University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is board certified in both Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. Prior to, she completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia where she was born and raised. She also attended University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee for her undergraduate degree.

Dr. Colpitts is on active staff at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Grandview Medical Center and Select Specialty Hospital. She maintains courtesy privileges at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. She is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Colpitts is passionate about providing excellent acute and long-term care for HIV patients. She also has a particular interest in caring for LGBT and gender non-binary patients, as well as, bone and joint infections.
